I have just bought a home in the burbs and found that its hard to connect with people here. Everyone here is in their own private idaho and there is little common ground. We don’t interact except to say “hello” and “Nice grass” and bitch about what the developer has not done yet (or right). I’m beginning to feel that humans need some common enemy, war, disease or pestulance to bond. In school the common enemy were the teachers, at work its the annoying customers that bring us together. In the burbs we’re all contented, spread out and alone. Have a nice day.
