I’m not sure if giving up my seat for a elderly woman at the train station counts, but it was after school and I was sitting there waiting for the train to come, when I saw her hobble over. The train station was packed, so I just stood up and told her “here, have my seat.”. She refused it at first, but I insisted. Eventually she sat down and thanked me profusely.
I found it strange that someone I didn’t know would be so happy that I had given her my seat(because Singaporeans can be so cold sometimes), but it turns out her knees were giving her trouble and pain, and if she had to stand any longer, it would make the problem worse.
“Thank you, girl. You’ve made my day.”, she said and smiled warmly at me before I turned to board my train.
Well, I guess she never really realized that she had just made mine too.

it’s just about not being so uptight about everything. when you start to relax about problems/situations or even problematic people, the swear words will start to lessen. sometimes i laugh them away, and i feel better straight away.

It was just the day before, a Thursday, when I dreamt not a dreamless sleep, and even till now I can remember everything, crystal clearly. I remember I held his hand, laughed with him, and then sat in the car with him. We travelled for miles, and talked along the way. So far I feel as if that was the happiest time of my life.
Who is this person you ask? Let’s just he’s still out there, somewhere and I’ve yet to meet him in person. But I remember his face, so sharp with clarity that if I see him on the street next time, I’ll know who he is. Until then, I’ll remember that smile.
And oh yeah, consider this done! lol.
