Once I started to think of what artificial sweeteners really are… it wasn’t so hard to lay off them. I’m really creeped out by putting all those nasty chemicals into my system without knowing how they might react with my body on a molecular level. Sugar isn’t great for you, but at least it’s something that was made for eating… and that has to be better in the long run.

I kept a food journal for three weeks because I was trying to go vegetarian. So I guess it was easier to do both at once. 2 down, 19 to go!
The food journal was a bit of a pain, but I really enjoyed being vegetarian. I think I can keep it up on most days from here on out. I don’t want to be 100% veggie, but I sure felt great these past few weeks! Maybe just have meat on occassion so I’m not “that person” that no one wants to invite over for dinner because they don’t know how to cook for me…
I just found $106 on the floor of Target! I walked in and saw a roll of cash on the ground, but no one was even CLOSE to being near it. I picked it up, stuck it in my pocket, and after I left the store I counted it up. Guess this isn’t really “change” but I did FIND it, so I’m counting it. Also, I didn’t feel like posting everytime I stuck a new dime in my piggy bank… :)
