Well the trip was great and I am a little better at rolling my rrrrs and also a little more familiar with Tequila, which you will notice can be ordered without stumbling over any rrrrs. If you’re going to Monterrey don’t stress too much about the lingo; the people are great, so just head for the Barrio Antigua, relax and enjoy.

I thing it’s pretty lame to travel without making an attempt to speak even a few words of the local language. Next week I am travelling on work to Mexico and my workmate who is fluent in Spanish is trying to coach me but my accent is just awful. The worst part is my complete failure to roll my rrrrrs.
