I was given a guitar from a friend and was learning to play while unemployed. Then I got a job halfway across the country, and the guitar just didn’t fit in my car. So now I’m stalled. Lost all my callouses. But I should be able to pick it up when I fly back to see my family next month!

How I did it: The toughest thing about this project is collecting enough corks. Happily, some great people sent some to me. After that, I just got a frame, some backing, and my hot glue gun, and then went to town! Read how I did it…
I’d wanted to do this in New Zealand, but it was about $200. When I went to visit my boyfriend in Ecuador, he stopped the motorbike and said that I should go jump off a bridge. He even talked the guy down from $15 to $5 (good since we’d forgotten to stop at the ATM before we left town. Whoops!)
Amazing!

Yay! With help in obtaining corks from some friends over at bookcrossing.com, I was able to put a corkboard together this month, and it was so easy! Check out my new board on my blog: http://jennannej.blogspot.com/2009/01/craftiness.html
