i used to do yoga all the time, mostly in the morning, before bed and during study breaks, but i just fell out of the habit when i got so busy i barely had time to breathe. now i have my first real summer vacation (i only took one class and it’s over now) and i have the chance to get back into my habit and stretch out my muscles again. i did it for the first time in a long time tonight and i feel great and i plan on waking up early before work tomorrow so i can do my morning stretches (rather than waking up just in time to get a shower and get to work). this is also in conjunction with another goal of mine, to cut down the stress level in my life.

small but exciting

i have always felt self conscious about my body. the truth is, i’m not an awful looking person and i don’t know why i have always had such low self-esteem. this task is a small one, but the fact that i am able to be in public in a bathing suit and not feel like i want to hide is a huge accomplishment for me because it shows how much i’ve grown in my task to start loving myself more. this is something that i have been working on and i’m really proud that i have made some progress. i attribute some of that to my boyfriend though because he has made me feel more beautiful than anyone else ever has for almost three years now :).
