I got a Kodak EasyShare camera for this past Christmas. I really like it. It has lots of features and is easy to use. The quality of the pictures is excellent. Eventually I hope to upload pictures every week onto Flickr.

I had known for years that I had depression problems but I usually would ignore them or try to put them out of my head. Mostly no one could tell but I would know and would think about the things that were bothering me in my head instead of enjoying the here and now. I would get down over the stupidest things.. and I would know they were stupid and tell myself not to think that way.. but my mind wouldn’t listen. You literally feel torn in two. I would go through cycles of feeling happy with myself and then boom! feeling the other way.. The only people that even suspected as such were family members or others I lived with. I don’t like to let friends know when I feel upset with myself. It’s a weak feeling.
Finally after discussing it with someone though & asking that person’s opinions on my behavior (as in could he tell when I felt crappy? Did my behavior change throughout the month?) and having them support me on the idea of finally speaking to someone about it, I spoke to my doctor.
I had to switch meds 3 times until I found one that truly worked for me. That can take time but you will be suprised at the difference it can make. I’m not in therapy but only because I am more open with my feelings now than I used to be so I am able to express them in more ways now and I have my friends to confide in. Some people need the setting of professional therapy and there is nothing wrong with that. Do what works for you. The first step in controling depression is speaking up about it and getting help. There is no shame in it.
There are more people in this world with chemical imbalances like ours than “normal” people in my opinion. lol So we need to drugs to regulate our intake of certain things, no big whoop when you look at it that way, right?
Do what you need to do to be happy with yourself and never be afraid to speak up. There are more people just waiting to help than you would think.
And it is an ongoing process but so is life.
