I’ve started setting my cellphone alarm instead of a regular alarm, and putting it on my pillow. It works better for me because it’s much harder to set it on “snooze”, so I’m more or less forced out of bed. But once I’m up and out of bed, I’m up for good and I’m not any more or less tired.

How I did it: Applied at a lot of places, kept up with interviews, etc. It takes a while but don't give up! I hated my job at the movie theater but I always had to remind myself it was just to make money, not to have fun. The people were nice but it was horrible work and the managers weren't great. I'm just hoping I have better luck with my new job at a restaurant, 5 guys burgers and fries. Neither were/are ideal, but I'm only 16 and it's hard to find work. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Me and my friend both have really dark hair and decided to do it together. We got L'Oreal bleach and put it in for a while, it ended up terrible. It was all different colors, white at my roots, and dark brown at the ends, with all shades of orange and red in between. Terrible. GET IT PROFESSIONALLY DONE! Read how I did it…
It’s HARD to get a job when you’re only 14 (almost 15). Very few places by me will hire before 16. I did, however, apply at an ice cream place and hopefullyyy I’ll get hired. I really need a summer job, because my family doesn’t have a lot of money at all and I need to be more self-sufficient.
I’ve stopped taking naps, I’ve been keeping busy with other activities and I’ve been TRYING to get a more restful nights’ sleep; I’ve usually got so much schoolwork to do or I end up preoccupied that I don’t fall asleep until about 12, and I wake up at 5am every day for school. It hasn’t been too bad though, and I try to catch up on the weekends.. Mostly it’s refreshing to not have to rely on an afternoon nap, and to be able to get things done.
