The second jump I was much more nervous. Events up to exiting the plane added to my stress. I was much less focused the 2nd jump than I was on the first jump. I had to wait about 5 hours until I could jump. I really don’t like waiting. When the plane took off the first time the pilot lifted the plane off the ground about 3 or 4 feet then powered down the engine so the plane went straight down. It even made one of the experienced fun jumpers a little nervous. I exited the plane properly. This and on my first jump it seems to take me until about 10k feet to realize my altitude and to start on the TLOs. I did enjoy the last part of the freefall because there was no distraction of a camera person and the instructors seemed to have laid off of the hand signals by the time I was finished with the TLOs. I managed to maintain the arch after I pulled. I totally freaked out the first jump and started looking up way too soon. Overall I’m quite pleased with this jump.
I passed level 1 AFF training on Sunday. I can’t wait to do it again!!!
