I have been doing public speaking for several years. One of the best ways to handle an impromptu conversation is to always turn the conversation to the other person. Ask about his desires, dreams and accomplishments. If you’re speaking to a group, realize that you’re there because you have a connection. Just tell them why you are passionate about the subject and you’ll always meet some of the group right on.
The number one suggestion I have is to relax and simply let it flow. Remember, that person you totally admire and wish you could be, has problems too.

My youngest just left the other day for college. I breathed a huge sigh…of relief, that I have succeeded in raising children who are happy, responsible, caring adults…of sadness, that I am finished with the task of child rearing…of anticipation, that they are now embarking on a journey of their own that will be filled with wonder, work and goals.
Now it’s my turn to make some new goals and discover who I am aside from my children.
This is a goal that is, without a doubt, well worth your time and effort. But, it is also a lifetime commitment. Don’t do it because you want to know what it feels like to be pregnant, or because you want to hold a baby, or because you want to keep your boyfriend. Do it only when you are absolutely certain that you are ready to give your entire life over to another human being knowing full well that, one day, he/she will grow up and hand it back to you at a time when you are least prepared to deal with it.
I had to laugh when it asked me if I was prepared to help others reach this goal. I’m afraid I can’t help you get pregnant, but I’m always available if you need to talk. I tried to get pregnant for five years before it actually happened and then I lost my first baby. So, I’ve been through pretty much everything.
It’s not simply a matter of surviving, it’s a matter of thriving in life and becoming more than you ever believed possible!
