After moving NY 4 months back, I found it’s really difficult to live w/o a car in USA. Me and my wife played it patient – we bought the bare necessities using bus and subway, kept my concentration on getting a job, and then went for a driving course. It’s difficult to get road-test schedules, we didn’t want to blow it up. So, I took 15 lessons in stead of 7/8 to have lots of practice. At last it’s done yesterday.

It was like the license (eventually the car) was major barrier to our feeling free. So, we done this :).
