Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I don't want to "stop" smokin buddha...

I just thought i should cut back some. And also see if i could go a freakin day with out it. I used to be one of those people who used to freak if i didnt have that good night bowl or my morning bowl or weed for through out the day. I realised it was nearly as bad as the psychiological addiction to cigarettes or coffee which i hate. Now i havent smoked for 32 days i told myself that for wouldn’t for 30. And one of the best ways to keep that up is to tell as many supportive people about it as you can. I also recently got in trouble for doin some harder drugs so that contributes to this a little but i dont have court for another month so i could blaze it up right now. I have nothing against marijuana i do beleive it is a medicine and extremely relaxing and fun and if you are to do a “drug” it should be bud. It also helped that i didnt go out much the past month except to work out or go to school but i was offered bud twice(which i know isnt much) and tons of times in dreams and turned it down everytime. Its all about self control and we all have it in us and just your ability to be strong. But i still can’t wait to blaze a fat bowl pretty soon but i am just seeing to it that it doesnt become my life anymore.

Really want to...

I’ve been trying to grow it out for the past year and also not use any form of heat like my old beloved straightening iron or any chemicals or dyes. I want it half way down my back and all healthy. I hear hair grows about 1/2 inch every month so its gonna take a while till all the black dye grows out unfortunatly. But it will look freakin rad when it does!

Been veggie for 46 days...

Its been great so far. Seeing videos-on what is done to the animals before they arrive on your plate is enough to convert most. Now that i am reading up on it there are numerous reasons to make the switch health, enviroment, peace of mind… the list goes on. Oh yeah and i have also been vegan a week now.
P.S. Any new vegetarian teens should really pickup a copy of Vegetarian Manifesto. Great book lots of facts and easy to read. Hope i helped somebody.
