How I did it: Eventually I just had to tell him I really liked him ... loved him even.But he didn't feel the same way.It was horrible.But if I hadn't I'd have regretted it.ALSO I found out he felt the same when I first felt it.But I didn't tell him then - so really I should have done this sooner and it might have been better.
