get rid of bad friends
Most friends aren't actually friends...

Some people fail to know the difference between acquaintance and friend. Someone recently told me that they had 14 friends… well I’m afraid that just isn’t possible. Anyone who thinks they have that many friends has obviously never been in a crisis.

When I had a crisis a couple of years ago it sorted out real friends from fake friends. The most damaging this was not the severe situation but actually the hurt caused by friends disappearing. Out of 10 or so friends I thought I had only 1 helped. Which means that 90% of my friends were just users and abusers or acquaintances.

I hope no-one with lots of ‘friends’ ever has a crisis that teaches them this extremely hard lesson. In some way I’m luck to have learned that I only had one real friend. This proved to me that most of humanity are selfish wankers, this was another hard lesson to learn.

My advice to the good people out their is to ditch any fake friends now and start seeking out genuine people. I volunteered for the Red Cross in order to meet more like-minded people. I haven’t been there long but I know I’ve made the right decision.

It is definitely worth doing :)

I have found new muscles I didn’t know I had and it’s very therapeutic. It is also benefiting wildlife and a good way of meeting new people.

I am loving the process of helping build a beautiful nature reserve!!! :) :) :)
