How I did it: I put an ad up on Craiglist saying that I was looking for a part-time development job and had a job interview two weeks ago and am starting today.I really need this job to get out of debt and it will be hard work and will require a lot of discipline on my part. It is up to me now to make this worth it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was aiming for passing the 'Zertifikat Deutsch' exam and I did that pretty easily. Being in Germany helps a great deal as I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the language and this greatly accelerates the learning process. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Did the citizenship and language tests. Submitted all the paperwork including payslips etc. Waited for 8 months before I heard from them! Read how I did it…

Originally, I wanted to start in April but it looks like it will be August now. I expect to have the offer letter by next week and then I will have to take the bus from Berlin to London!
After that, it is 4 years of poor student life.
I found out that one of the main reasons for my procrastination was being overwhelmed with too much to do. These days I keep a list of tasks with the expected day of completion and some sort of rough priority. This really helps me focus and then there is the added satisfaction of being able to strike something off the list.
