The gf and I went on a 9 month trip: japan, china, singapore, malaysia, thailand, laos, vietnam, cambodia, india, dubai, egypt, jordan, syria, turkey, bulgaria, romania, serbia, croatia, albania, greece, italy, germany, austria, hungary, france, spain, portugal, belgium, netherlands, switzerland, czech, and the UK. Fantastic, you can buy an ‘around the world’ ticket and travel anywhere the airline alliance flies, as long as you go in one direction. The eurorail helps in europe but doesn’t include sleepers. Save up, pack light and just do it, you’ll never regret it.

First driving through the sand in a jeep, then 5 hours by camel and finally to a bedouin campsite to freeze in the desert, but amazing every step of the way.
