a few months ago, in preparation for a transatlantic move, I got rid of about half of my clothes. some of them I had outgrown physically, others I no longer liked. anything that was still wearable I put in boxes for the thrift shop or donation. everything else- my failed DIY projects et al- was thrown out with a mix of hesitancy and wanton disregard for sentimentality. as a natural packrat, I had to force myself to not care about these clothes. I have yet to regret this wardrobe purge, but we shall see!
