I'm doing 35 things
I came in as a beauty consultant (cashier & stock clerk who only has to have a basic product knowledge and gets trained on how to do color-matches) I got promoted to being a prestige consultant (I’m basically a makeup artist who has to know everything about all of the prestige cosmetics and skincare), but I still have the responsibilities of a beauty consultant. So I work my ass off pretty much doing two jobs for 50 cents above minimum wage. But it has been good training on makeup. I can do gorgeous things with makeup now. And the employee discount and gratis (free products for good work) make it tolerable.

How I did it

How I did it: I applied online (the online application involves a LONG personality test), interviewed (twice), and got hired. In the interview, I just told them that I love makeup and have been a regular customer for a long time. I also did my hair and makeup to the nines and dressed up a little for the interviews, and had a lot of references (none of which were makeup places, so they don't really mind if you've never worked in cosmetics before). I’m at a 2g. I wear blingy plugs that look like diamond earrings so my boss and family don’t notice, and regular 18g diamond studs in my second holes. It’s fun to put straws and stuff through them just to mess with people sometimes.
I’ve had it for about 3 years now. It’s a pain sometimes just because it’s a bigger hole than the ones in your ears, and if you don’t wear a ring in it it’s really noticeable. But I love how I can find rings to match my swimsuits and accessories and stuff.
