day 1 post cleanse 8 months ago

Got sick of orange juice—note to self, when you’ve not eaten in 11 days and all you drink is orange juice, well, it comes out orange. So I did some broth and veggies a day early. Didn’t bother me, though we’ll see how I feel in the morning. My real downfall was I had to bake another cake tonight and, despite my success in avoiding it this past weekend, I licked my fingers. And then the spatula. And then the spatula again. I don’t feel like the coming-off the cleanse is as well regimented as the cleanse itself. I sort of feel like I should have continued LA with the orange juice, just because I felt like I was getting soooo much sugar in all those oranges I was drinking and it wasn’t nearly as diluted as the LA. Anyway, mea culpa. Chocolate is the enemy. I know better than to bake while hungry too! Tomorrow I get a fresh start on watching my eating habits. The spatula incident is a valuable lesson to me to not get cocky. Yes, I’ve overcome the Jack In The Box voice for 10.5 days, but that only means the voice is mad and hungry now, and trying 10.5 times harder to get me to cave. Gotta starve that guy to DEATH. Tomorrow I’ll do OJ in the morning, soup in the afternoon, and then a light dinner with my boyfriend. I’m hopeful things will continue to go smoothly. Good night!

Morning day 11 (Day 1 post-cleanse) 8 months ago

Just had my first glass of OJ. It was surprisingly tasty, though I hate how much sugar I just ingested….3 oranges worth! I woke up this morning feeling shaky and weak, so I’m really glad I finished yesterday. I think my body is ready for real calories. I weighed myself this morning. When I started I was 130 lbs, and now I’m 122. Not particularly attached to that result, but it doesn’t hurt to have the false pride in the (temporary) weight loss.

I’m seeing that there are a LOT of new people on the board and everyone seems to be asking questions that suggest they haven’t read the book. It is my humble opinion that you can do yourself some damage if you aren’t careful on this cleanse and don’t follow the instructions. So for those of you who are new, do your body a favor and READ THE BOOK. It can be read/downloaded/printed for FREE here:

http://www.healthandlight.com/TheMasterCleanse.pdf

Instructions begin on page 10. Don’t rely on this board to get accurate information about the cleanse. Everyone has their opinions and their way of doing it. Read the instructions and then make your own!

Good luck to those of you just starting out, keep it up for those of you in the middle, and congrats to those of you finishing today/yesterday/soon! If I can do it, you can do it. Seriously.

Run a half marathon, then a marathon.
Registered for the SF (half) Marathon 8 months ago

Did it last night, just got on ye olde web here and registered. Time to put my money where my mouth is. So August 3rd, I should be ready to run my 13.1 miles. I have plenty of time to prepare, so I’m excited. I don’t know what has taken me so long to commit to doing it, but I’ve committed and I’ll start training this week.
