How I did it: I've been looking for the right time to check this off of my list and I think I finally can. Nate has been sweeping me off my feet for 3 years, but recently we got engaged and it was amazing! He's just been being more sweet than ever and always makes me feel amazing. I got my tattoo on July 1st, 2008! Woo. If you’re looking for a tattoo artist in Lexington, KY – I recommend Val @ Electric Art! :D

The meaning: I got this treble clef and a heart for my Dad who passed away when I was 11 from lung cancer. He was a musician and I thought it was perfect because it looks slightly like an S for either his name (Sam) or mine and because this was the music note on the tie-tack that I bought for him and that was given to me off of his tie before they buried him. I remember that moment all of the time. The heart has a special family meaning to me as well. And to top it off- I love music. I love to sing and I love to listen.. it’s always been and always will be a huge part of my life.
