Now to keep up the running and get back into road cycling (might be doing this mostly indoors with the trainer due to winter weather) and get to the pool!
I did end up getting a road bike. I got a beautiful used, but loved, LeMond Zurich road bike and clipless pedals and shoes. I love it, it’s a gorgeous bike, so that’s definitely a motivator to ride it :).
I finally completed this in 2 months. This has been in and out of my goals list for a while. I finally stuck to it and very grateful I did. It really sucked at the beginning, but it gets easier. I am up to running 40 minutes/4miles now. I am hoping to continue to work towards a 10k and half marathon run next.
I started my first week, but I actually started w/ the week 3 program since I have been working out for a couple weeks and felt up to the workout.
I also got new minimalist running shoes (Brooks PureConnect) since I’m pretty fascinated with the less is more philosophy of minimalist running. I’m liking them so far- landing midfoot instead of on the heels and the shoes feel like i’m landing on little clouds.
