dont do it; despite what people say about stupid trends and how just cuz you dress differently doesnt mean youre a different person, dont become preppie. i had a really close friend who was always somewhat preppie in her ways and i mean, that was completely fine with me, but it got to the point where she became a full blown prep and started hanging out with that clique. since then shes ditched me, avoided me, refused to talk to me and wont be seen around me because her new friends absolutely hate me for reasons unbeknown to me; its not as if i parade around proclaiming my differentness to all. once you become preppie, you kind of change inside- it might just be a confidence thing but even so, it ends up turning you into a different person. ive been picked on all my life by ‘preppie’ people for no good reason; because im not immaculately pretty, because i have skuzzy hair, because im inclined toward the darker side of life; id be completely open to giving them a chance if they didnt all treat me like crap, even the ones who used to be my friends.
