아!!! 정말 어려워요! 3 weeks ago

Learning to speak Korean (fluently) is difficult! I believe I have a knack for picking up languages fairly quickly. I speak Vietnamese (and can read, partially write), a Chinese dialect (similar to Cantonese), and can read and write English pretty well, but Korean is extremely difficult to learn, as with any other language. I have already taken a Korean class for a year at a community college and thought I learned a bit… but now that I’m taking it at a uni (I am retaking the first year), I realize that there is a LOT of basic grammar and vocabulary that I have not learned!

I’m still pushing though… I really want to learn Korean enough to survive by myself in Korea for two months (that’s the plan after uni).

If anyone is experiencing hardships with learning this language, fear not! You’re not the only one out there!

Learn to play Go-Stop
First day! 5 months ago

My hwatu cards arrived in the mail today. I am extremely interested in the Korean culture, and apparently, hwatu is a major card game played in Korea. I also recently finished a drama called Tazza, which was completely centered around hwatu/go stop. So, wish me luck! Apparently, it’s supposed to be really hard for a non-Koreaner. :P

write a book
Whoot! 16 months ago

I really want to get this done. Whether it be an autobiography or fiction (I prefer fiction). I want to write an actual novel. Murder mystery. Romance. Haha. I’m going to try and stray away from children’s stories. That would make me feel like I’m cheating myself out by using a short story as an excuse and say, “Well! Looks like I wrote a book!”
