for me the people are the worst. absolute shittiest people i’ve ever come in contact with. backstabbing ass kissers, all of them. and even as an nco, you get treated like dog shit as long as their is someone right above you that is a pos nco or has a vendetta against you. another reason is the benefits you’re promised, like health care. i can’t get an appointment any more often than every 3 months at the dental clinic. gi bill? that shit’s only like 38k now. my advice to people who join for college money? get a loan. unless your this close to being homeless, the army is NOT FOR YOU. i work about 16-18 hours days, almost everyday because of a personal problem my boss has with me, and i only make about 24k a year, and i’m not even in iraq. stupidest paper i ever signed.
