Hmm… first of all, I think that this goal is really a huge metaphor. Here we all are; plopped onto the interstate system of life with no road map (ok, so maybe one or two, but they’re for like the middle of Sweden or something), a tank of gas, and what the hell, sometimes god throws in some quarters for the tolls. I try to take as many detours as possible.
However, in a literal sense, I really would like to do this. Someday my friend is going to buy an airsteam (if Bob Dylan doesn’t give her one first :)) and perhaps she’ll let me go on an adventure with her and her grandmother. Or perhaps I will hop on a train to nowhere, and just watch the trees go by…

I threw a hexagram with the I-Ching the other day, to try and see what advice it had to give me about my life in gerenal. I was feeling very stressed out, and it identified that right away. It gave me the hexagram “Mountain,” and it told me very clearly that meditation would be the best way to counter this.
I find meditation to be hard, as my mind does not easily give up its tight grip upon my being, and thoughts are hard to release, even for a few minutes. But I feel that when I can achive a state of meditation, it feels amazing. However, I still need to work on doing it more often. This is a great goal to have.
I’ve “found” happiness and discovered that happiness cannot truly be found. It isn’t something you search for; some elusive thing that hides itself in the form of money, or chocolate, or achiving a goal… happiness is something that we create for ourselves, that is a conscious descision we make. So I suggest not merely searching for things that make you happy, but internalizing the idea and becoming happy from the inside out. Only you have the power to make yourself truly happy.
