yup.

i’ve done it.

i crossed another ‘thing’ that i’ve wanted to do off my list. you should, too.

i got back into printmaking. i started a 12 week workshop at the manhattan graphics center in the west village in nyc. its awesome. the collective is a full printmaking studio with screens, squeegees and high power sprayer and exposure table. rock!

bought the inks (colorfast on fabric, too) and paper yesterday. the next two days will be strategizing what my first print edition. the instructor will also be giving us a run down on t-shirt printing.

The only tram in NYC. $2 fare to get on or use your monthly metrocard and ride for free to island situated between Queens and Manhattan! Great view of the water and Manhattan Bridge.


volunteer at a homeless shelter

I spent my first Christmas this past December away from my family. Instead of feeling bad about being alone, I volunteered at a senior center packaging holiday gifts and prepping for their holiday party! It was great.

I now serve dinner twice a month at the Bowery Mission in New York City. Being able to give selflessly is important.

LA Arena and Greek Theatre. Sound at the Greek was excellent. I live in NYC now, so I will eventually run into Paul or Carlos D.

Update: I ran into Carlos D. on Houston 2 weeks ago. He was walking to the East Village, I was heading into Chinatown. He’s cute. And tall. And has herpes. (sorry)

1. Start with 1/2 mile
2. BUY GOOD RUNNING SHOES. No seriously. New Balance 992 are the best. You don’t want shin splints
3. Stretch before and after each run
4. Work up to 1 mile
5. Run at least 2x a week
6. Don’t smoke, weed or cigarettes. Yeah, you, I mean you
7. Run with a shuffle or Ipod mini
8. When you start to feel exhausted, slow down, but keep a jog
9. Visualize markers ahead. “Ok, if i run another 200 yards past that tree…”

Great way to clean out toxins, junk, alleviate your allergies and help detox your liver and kidneys. I did a 10 day cleanse in February 2006 and I’m in the middle of another fast and am on my 3rd day. Talk about willpower! You can do it.
