Although we had a destination, a town 2hrs away, we still spent 24 hours without a plan or an intent. Another couple, my husband and I drove throught the moutnains and enjoyed the fall colors, hot coffee, long walks, a few gallerys, scruptious meals, strolling a mtn town and a few cold brews!!!! Okay quite a few brews but it was cold in the mtns!!! lol
Was wonderful to escape for a while and feel no responsisbility to anyone but myself. And of course my husband but he is so easy going.
Look forward to our next overnight escape!!!!

I was invited to join a book club. I was hesitant because it is an established group and I feared being the youngest. Two things that would not normally deter me from social events. I attended the first meeting and to my surprise …there was another newbie…...I woman very much like myself in so manny ways. We have become fast friends, a connection that both shocked me and made me smile!!!!! I am pleased I overcame my negativity, attended the Book Club and made a life long friend. We have become work out buddies, reading pals, mommie friends and an all around good friends!!! I feel so blessed. If i had let my fear and negativity control me, I would miss out on her. :-)
Joined a book club a few months back and have really enjoyed the exposure to different types of literature. Have not enjoyed all the books but I am enjoying gabbing with a group of ladies I would otherwise have nothing in common with. I would recommend “The Glass Castle” Jeanette Wells. Awesome and insighful memoir.
