Kent is pretty much my all-time favorite band, so naturally I want to hear them play live, really badly. Sadly, they don’t tour in the States anymore, so basically I will have to fly to Europe to see them. So one day, I am hoping to combine this with several other things on my list. I’ll learn Swedish, then fly to Stockholm and see them play and it will be amazing. After that, I will hop on a dog sled to the Ice Hotel and stay there for a few nights, where I will see the Northern lights. Best fantasy ever! I hope it becomes reality.

I have a practically non-existent attention span, which is why I have had such a hard time finishing stories that I start. But I ran across a blog called Six Sentences, where people can submit stories they’ve written, so long as the stories consist of a mere six sentences. This length is absolutely perfect for me—just long enough to say something interesting, just short enough for me to stay focused long enough to actually finish. So I’ve been doing that a lot.
I used to hate television—it only took about half an hour of it to drive me nuts and make me want to throw things. Until, that is, television shows started coming out on dvd. Now my husband and I will get interested in a show and end up watching sixteen hours worth of it in one weekend. It’s terrible! We get so sucked into the stories that there just isn’t any escape.
There are some shows we’ve already started that I want to finish, but my goal is to not get hooked into any new ones in the process. Or, at least, to not get hooked into many.
We need to start spending more time in our own stories…
