How I did it: Well I started off learning more of what I needed to to fill the position, then gradually took on more and more responsibilities. I gained trust and showed I was capable, then when the position opened up I just went for it, I wouldn't have before but I'd gained confidence from my manager, and now I'm loving it :D Read how I did it…
How I did it: So this might sound silly but I did it through playing a game called Kakuro. The aim is to fill a grid with numbers, adding up to the specified number and not using a number twice in one row. It is a game of logic but also requires you to work out the different combinations of numbers that will add up to a number. This I found really helped me in adding and remembering numbers. So… I read the Angels Game and whilst it was an exceptional book, its was nowhere near as good a story as the shadow in the wind. Still I guess it was my expectations that were too high, it was a really good book; just in a different way.
Unseen Acidemical (I think thats spelt correctly) by Terry Pratchett, was my next offering which was classic Pratchett and I savoured every line :D
