How I did it: I read the book in 5 days, and when I started was only "thinking" about stopping. The more I read, though, something amazing happened to me. I lost my desire to smoke. It completely changed how I saw smoking, cigarettes, myself as a smoker, etc. Allen Carr made what I thought was impossible (quitting smoking) truly easy and I am so grateful I came across that book. How I did it: Took a couple of months of solid trial and error. Tried a few different types of alarms before figuring out that my main problem was lack of morning light exposure in my bedroom. Fixed this problem by installing a lamp timer on a 3-way lamp with 150 watt bulb. Now I wake up every morning feeling refreshed and ready to go. I am reentering my alma mater university next week with a declared major of psychology. After four years of being in the working world, and a year of planning and contemplation, I am taking the first step and going back to school. I am so very excited!
