Today I offered others
-Mark a very loving evening. Massage, a very satisfying badonkajonk, stretching, the works.
-Arielle an invitation to hang out (will it be taken? Hope so. Also need her help.)
-An invitation to Celeste to hang out (hope she will take that, I want the friendship)
-The beginnings of a Christmas card
-An ear (mom at dinner)
-A hug (Mom)

Today I gratefully received
-More great advice from Mark about Syracuse (don’t apply)
-Great advice from Mark about schools (find more, ask counselors, contact alumni, check college books)
-An invitation to Calvin’s bar gig (at Basera), though I had to say no
-An invitation to an early birthday shot
-A phone call from Phyllis, the super considerate Antioch woman who called about my transcript and went out of her way for me
-News that Antioch has reopened
-A hug (from Mom. I actually went to her just for a hug, so it was more of a receiving than giving action but I put it down in both categories.)

Today I gave myself
-A hug – made myself go to Mom to get one, so though she gave it to me I gave it to myself by asking for it
-Opportunities for friendship, by planting seeds of communication with people (reaching out to people I wouldn’t normally)
-Too much internet and contemplation time!
-Reflection, the search for focus and direction, the search for staying on track
-Happiness with Mark (you get what you give)

Today I learned
-That Antioch has reopened
-That I miss Antioch
-That I have moved beyond it
-That I feel like I want to be something I’m not in reference to Antioch
-That stretching Mark makes him very happy
-That being sweet with Mark makes me very happy
-That I love giving to Mark and I really enjoy badonkajonk with him, especially non-swan style (may just be tired of that)
-I need to find a way to stay focused
-I forget a lot over the course of a day… good to keep track of what I did like this
-I need to focus on staying true, on continuing to search for direction, on being honest and grounded and purifying
-That I should be looking harder for the Buddha spirit in others as well as polishing myself to see my own
-That NYU and Hampshire only require one teacher request
-That SLC needs me to send my essays before they can tell me whether they have my transcripts or not

Graduate from a college I am proud to be a graduate of, and give it my all -- put my heart into it. (read all 2 entries…)

I need to find this college first. Here are the top contenders:

Sarah Lawrence
NYU
Hampshire College

There have got to be more. But how do I find the ones that fit me? A college book is a start. Asking others is another great way to do this. Perhaps I will send an email out to Chris Rogutsky or Ms. Hartman, see what they think. That’s a good idea – they should have some good recommendations, being high school counselors and all.
