Whatever “being a buddhist” is… For some it is hanging around a guru (who is, of course, so much better than that other guru next door)... For some it is solitary meditation (often resulting isolation and delusions)... For me it is living from end to beginning – looking life from the perspective of death rather than birth (which makes me occasionally fatalistic and depressed). I do not recommend my way, but your way.
