Harsh as it may sound, it was my family who bullied me to fulfill this goal. Not that they knew it was a goal, but just getting them off of my back made it so. I was a teenager with a very insecure posture. To figure out how to straighten my back properly, I thought of the military, of how the superiors would walk in front of the line of new recruits and bully them – suck that belly in, hold that chin up, stand tall and proud. After years of determination, I believe I know have a decent posture without having to put effort into it anymore.

How I did it: I picked up an old, used copy of a paperback volume and started reading. It was difficult at times to remember that the real world is not quite as bad as in the book, but one page at a time I read my way through it and when the last page was read I was once again back in the current safety of the real world. I would like to travel the world, but all the bad stuff coming out of cars, trains and planes would be bad for the planet. So as a travelling method I figured why not walk, as they did long, long ago?
All I need to get started is to figure out how far I walk in one day, how much you need to eat while walking, and when I would have enough free time to do such a thing. It would also be good to know how much to pack (do you need a tent, or would you find a generous soul to borrow a bed every night?).
It doesn’t really have to be through Europe either, but as I currently live in Sweden it’d be a good place to start.
It is probably impossible to end all the injustice around the world, but if I was to stop hating, the world would be one step closer. If I were to stop hating, maybe I would be able to affect my friends to stop hating, and they would affect their friends and so on and so forth. In the long run it’d be a huge step for the world.
