I’ve asked my grandmother to help me make a pie from scratch with her “no fail pie crust” recipe. This isn’t a huge goal, but it is part of my larger goal to eat foods that I make, not just something that fell out of a box, with the directions “just add water”.

I have not put as much effort into teaching my little one Spanish as I would like. We sometimes read children’s books in Spanish or watch PBS cartoons in Spanish, but I do not make an effort to talk to her in Spanish in everyday conversation… something I need to work on.
I originally wanted to learn Gaelic, then German, and now Japanese. I don’t think this wishy-washy attitude will get me far in 3rd language learning. So how does one go about learning Japanese without paying for it? Hmm.
