It was such a liberating experience to get past my fear of putting paint on canvas. I loved the experience of getting into ‘the zone’ and feeling the therapeutic effects of letting my creativity flow out of me onto the canvas.

How I did it: I put all my papers in a basket and dragged it into the loungeroom, where I was babysitting my nieces. While they drew and played and watched TV, I systematically went through every single piece of paper and put them into file, shred and action piles. When I pulled out the electric paper shredder, the girls got very excited and shredded the whole pile for me :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: My lovely, lovely boy Callum bought it for me and it's changed my life. Digital cameras rock. I love using it to take photos of random things in my life, and posting them on forums and sending to people, just to illustrate things I'm talking about.I'm currently taking photos of my nailpolish to post on the bella forums... sad but I love having a record of different colours I've tried. How I did it: I used my BILs power sander to strip back most of the old paint, then hand sanded to a silky finish with fine sandpaper. Painted one coat with a brush and sanded back. Painted next coat with foam roller for satin finish and sanded back. Repeated 2 more times, finishing with foam roller. Bought beautiful silver flower drawer pull knobs off ebay. Looks gorgeous and I love it! Read how I did it…
