I went surfing once when I visited my brother in the Coronado Shores Hotel (he’s a nuclear engineer for the Navy and they stuck him there to work for a while.) I
I live in AZ so I don’t go to the beach very often… I’m hoping to this summer, but I’m hoping for a lot of other things, so it likely won’t happen.

How I did it: I started taking a non-credit course at my community college. Later I did a bit of bikram yoga, which is in a hot room. I love the hot room, but bikram does the exact same poses in the same sequence every class, all over the world, and that just doesn't do it for me. The teachers also aren't trained that well. So I didn't do yoga very often... until I found an amazing little studio that does hot yoga. The teacher were originally bikram te… Read how I did it…
I don’t think I’m going to reach my goal, but I’ll still do the “Or Else!” I think I set it way too early…
There are a lot of other yoga poses that help too. This one’s been good for me:

I did that while waiting for a bus this mornign and some guy asked, “Doesn’t that hurt?” If I did it when it started, it would! but your body gets used to it…
These two are good too:

If I do the same stetches every day those muscles start hurting… Massaging after you stretch helps that a LOT though.
Unless you’re stretching wrong…
Do it slowly and carefully or you’ll hurt yourself… done that a few times!
Sitting with your legs in front of you and leaning foreward and pulling your toes towards you (or just leaning foreward as far as you can) is really really good for the front splits, as well as the lunge stretch.
I still can’t do the side ones. That’d probably help me sit in full lotus. Think I should work on the side splits more?

There’s also a lot of good yoga sites out there on this.
