For the record, I’m adamant that you should personally choose your own drum if at all possible. I feel it’s very important to “meet” the drum that’s right for you.
That said, I was very upset when my boyfriend told me he’d ordered me a drum off the internet b/c I was too stressed and needed to start drumming again as an outlet. when the drum came, i didn’t even want to see it, told him to send it back. BUT he convinced me to at least give it a chance, and i have to admit, i do like it. The decoration is a bit cheesy, and i would have chosen a thicker head, but we get along just fine, and i’m not sending her back.

How I did it: I went to mylifetime.com and uploaded a pic of myself to "try on" different haircuts. I found a short sort of bob that I loved, and stared at the picture for a couple of months. Then when it was time to get my hair trimmed, I brought the pic to my stylist and CHOP! It looks just like the pic and I absolutely love it.Should have done it years ago. Read how I did it…
How I did it: 3 months, 20 job applications and 5 interviews later, I finally got a job in NH. I had to settle for a lot less money than I wanted, and I had to compromise my standards a bit in the end, but it's better than being unemployed. Read how I did it…
actually a pretty crappy job for pretty crappy pay. but it’s better than nothing.
