I put a treadmill in the garage and twice a week, after the kids are in bed, I run. I put on my headphones and crank up my iPod and run as long as I can. I started just a fast walk, but now I am up to a mile! I also make a point of doing something fun that requires exercise on the weekend, such as swimming or hiking. That way my upper body gets exercise too! It was hard when I started, but I have the secret now. Life is very tough at times and people can be horrible. I funnel all that frustration and anger and other negative emotions into the motion of running. Every time my foot comes down on that treadmill, I am releasing violently all that negative energy. It also has helped to listen to songs that have a beat similar to how fast I can run so that I can bring my feet down in time with the beat of the music.

True Love
I had given up on love, I was discouraged and pessimistic about my ability to find someone who didn’t underwhelm me. Then one day I met him. My family was opposed and there was drama when we moved in together. But here we are, almost seven years into our marriage and we’re even happier than when we fell in love. Love doesn’t solve your problems, but it makes the journey less lonely.
Dog Sledding in Alaska
I gre up in Alaska, but until high school I had never known anyone personally who had a dog sled team. In high school I befriended two girls, each of their families had a team. They taught me the basics, and there I was, dog sledding and yelling Ge and Ha! It was COLD COLD COLD, but amazing and exhilarating. I highly recommend giving this one a go.
