I’ve passed my driving test.

I’m now in the wonderfull world of

a) Deciding what car i want to buy.
b) Organizing a loan from my bank.
c) Actually purchasing the car.
d) Organizing insurance and registration.
e) Getting the car serviced.
f) Accruing 25 log book hours of supervised driving

Before i can obtain my P (probationary) plates, and drive by myself.

Put a message in a bottle and throw it out to sea

I've done this? 23 months ago

On my birthday I collected scraps of paper off my friends filled with whatever they wanted, and placed them in an envelope with a letter i had pre-written. I had the intention of putting them into a bottle and throwing that bottle into the ocean.

My friends had a ball! on the paper went all sorts of useful information, jokes and random comments.

Later on that same night, my bag was stolen, which included the all-important message envelope.

At first, i was a little angry. But i have come to realize that as a result of this i have completed the push of this desire.

Yes, i did not get to place the information into a bottle and throw that bottle into the sea; but somebody that i would not normally have contact with has received a snapshot in time of myself, and my friends.

Granted, its not somebody i would choose given the choice, but, in actuality, you do not get to choose who rescues your bottle from the sea and do you get to control what they do, or feel about it.

I have since had the bag returned and it included nearly everything, minus the message envelope.

The contact is what was important, and that has been achieved.

It is because of this, that i am marking this one as complete.
