How I did it: Well my IT band (outer knee) didn't bother me AT ALL this time. First time in a long time. I had the knee band with me the whole time in case it kicked in. Finally my knee is adjusting. This is good news for the 1/2 marathon. So, all the usual suspects: carried water, hydrated consistently throughout. GU, energy gel, took that throughout. Key is to hydrate and energize before you're feeling depleted. Also I had great music on my ipod nano… Read how I did it…
