How I did it: Not that I was successful, but I did officially make a sale! ONE SALE! Hahahaha.... ^.^It took forever, because the person who bought the item was a friend and wanted to meet in person to exchange payment/the item, as opposed to just mailing it. We kept having to push back, and push back, and push back, and finally I just gave up and mailed the darn thing to her. Overall it took us OVER A MONTH to get everything ironed out, when we really… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Gave up on my original idea for a blanket since I suck at appliques... but my new idea is so cute! I found fabric that looks almost exactly like some bedding I had when I was a baby, which I thought was cool. The blanket has some nice warm batting inside, and is made of flannel. Overall it turned out GREAT. I'm super proud of myself. :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: I've done this several times over the years, really...The first time, I would have to say, was with my former best friend in our junior year of high school. We're both... well, big hippies who love playing outside like crazy kids when it's raining (which didn't make our parents too happy at the time, but what did we care? We were in high school...). Dancing around in circles in the cul-de-sac where she lived, we kissed each other in the p… Read how I did it…

I have all of my prerequisites out of the way. I have my regular associate’s degree. Now I’m working as hard as ever to make it into the nursing program at Cy-Fair College this upcoming semester.
I’m already a CNA, though I don’t work as one (long story.) In one year I’ll be licensed as an LVN/LPN. Then in one more year after that, I’ll be an RN! EXCITEMENT.
Greaaaat movie… :)
I’ve always loved running, though recently I’ve let myself slip off the wagon. At this point I would probably be out of breath after, say, a quarter of a mile.
Anyway I think running for charity is just a great thing to do all-around. First off, it’s good for your body. Secondly, it’s good for the world! :D And by that, I mean you get to support a local charity by doing something other than just giving them money. You’re giving them public exposure and maybe opening peoples’ eyes to the issues these charities address. Ask ten people on the street and I bet not one of them could name five local charities and their causes off the top of their heads. I want to run a marathon for local charities mainly because I just want to show the individuals who benefit from said charities that there are in fact people out there who still care.
As a side note, I’m also including “Walking for the Cure” in this goal. My family has a long history of cancer of all kinds, and my aunt (whom I adore and have always looked up to) is a ten-year survivor of breast cancer. She’s still going strong to this day. Seeing what cancer and its treatment does to people really makes you appreciate the strength, courage, and determination it takes to get through a trial like that. Walking for the Cure is just one way to recognize and support the struggles of all the victims who have been diagnosed with this disease and stopped it in its tracks.
