I completed my first triathlon this morning with a time 6 minutes below what I was hoping to accomplish. Official results won’t be posted until tomorrow, but I probably came in the top 20% or 30% overall and in my age division. Not bad! Six months ago, I hadn’t run off of a treadmill, I wasn’t training anywhere near 5k run distances, and I hadn’t done any bike training in years. I’m in great shape, and looking forward to doing this again.

How I did it: I'd run this fast back in college and prior, but not since I hurt my knee. Began training on a treadmill and lifting weights to get my knee in shape. A 22 minute 5k is not much faster than 3 7-minute miles, so I did alot of training on a treadmill at that speed. I really never ran too often at greater than 3 and 4 mile distances once I got out on the road. You've got to want it. This isn't a jog, and it's not going to feel wonderful at fi… Read how I did it…
I had a frittata for dinner tonight with onion, tomato, spinach, turkey and cheese. yummy. I’m closing this goal out seeing as how my kitchen is alive again. Consider stepping up to a new goal, cook some number of meals every week and eat at the table.
