Take more pictures
A question about this goal: i like taking close up pictures but it often turns out blur...wht should i do? September 18th, 2006 08:17

Answers:

put on your macro mode.

use a tripod or really hold still

turn on your anti shake mode if your camera has it

check your focus button (some have different types of focus features)

im not good with all the techy side of photography, meaning nearly all my photos comes from my T&T method (twist the dials and try)

Which camera make do you have? If you try to shoot macro pictures without using tripod they will most likely come out blurry due to shaking hands, lack of light (say, if you’ve hung over the subject, blocking the sun or lamp light). This way, even built-in flash will most certainly do you no good, quite on the contrary – either the lens will block the flash or the shadows will be too harsh.
But any way, provide more details about your set up – subjects, camera model, whether you prefer to shoot in- or outdoors, etc.

It very much depend on the camera type. Some lenses can only focus 50 cm or more from the model/object, How close are you going and what does the manuel say about macro? Sometimes there is a macro mode, try use that.

Most likely you need to purchase a macro lens. It is hard to take very close up photos without one.
