I don’t think you can obtain a marrage license in DC for a same sex couple but you can ask your county clerks office. There are several ministers on www.witchvox.com in the dc area that would be able to preform a nonlegally binding ceremony.
Thank you very much, I went there, and I think I may have found someone!! You’ve helped to make our day even more special, thank you so much!!!
Stacy when you remove the clutter it's easier to focus on whats important!

Come get married in Vancouver, BC. Same Sex marriages are legal.

Good Luck!
You have no idea how helpful you’ve been; I went to the link you gave, and we just may be getting married in Vancouver!! Thank you, thank you, thank you; we may not be able to get married as soon as we’d like to, since we’ll have to arrange to travel, but it’s great because we can combine the legal wedding with a honeymoon trip. You’re a doll, whoever you are!!
Have a Happy New Year!!
Hppy New Year!
I am glad I could be of help. There have a few famous gay couples who have “legally” married in Canada. I think Rosie O’Donnell even mentioned it.

Any place in Canada would allow a legal ceremony. DC, is closest to Ontario so you may want to pursue that rather than BC just because of distance and finances.

Look for a local Unitarian minister for a meaningful, professional ceremony! Good Luck!
Yes,
1)Go to your travel agent. 2)Book a flight to Montreal Canada (or any part you prefer. 3)Invite all your friends and Family. 4)Have a real wedding in a beautiful setting, in a community that accepts you and your union. Montreal is way closer than Vancouver, but, I like both cities. You could even drive to Niagara Falls. Good Luck
