A question about this goal: What is the best way to remember and to want to floss? December 15th, 2006 23:44

Answers:

I asked my dentist this recently, she said: “For all of the digital imaging, micro-motors, and fiber optics found in modern dental equipment, the humble piece of dental floss still cleans teeth in ways that no other dental equipment can.”

Personally, I get on a roll, and when I’m tempted to skip it I think, “Am I going to blow this great flossing streak just because I’m lazy? NO!” :-)

And as it says here (http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/flossing.htm):
• Decreased risk of gum disease
• Better breath
• Removes plaque in between teeth
• Polishes tooth surfaces
