First – let’s just talk about blocking. If someone is bugging you on 43 Things, you don’t have to put up with it. Navigate to their profile page and click on the “Report this user” link. On the following page, the first option is to “Block this user”. This keeps a user from being able to comment on your goals or interact with you in other ways.
Now should you ever want to lift the block, just return to their page and click “unblock this user”.
It should work. Apparently, in Deni’s case it didn’t. We tried it here at the Co-op, and it worked for us. Then we put on the magical hat that allows us to assume the identity of anyone else, and we tried lifting a block Deni had imposed. It worked as well. Maybe there is a bug there. Maybe it just needed 2 clicks.
In the future, should you need to report a bug, here is where to do it Every bug is a little cry for help, but it will help us to keep the help topics here useful to many people, while bug reports are always going to be very specific.
Okay, this is good information. I will try to do this again, both ways to see if one of them will work for me.
Thanks for that link, too. I haven’t explored all the new areas of the site since I’ve been limited with on-line access the past several days. (I’m excited about getting to do so some exploration this weekend, though! What I see looks great.) I will use that in the future should I have problems again.
