Jessy thanks Celtic Christian for all the cheers!
You are asleep . . . ya can’t help it! You could have sleep apnea . . . do you wake yourself up snorting and gasping for breath? If not, you just snore. Consider it one of your lovable traits, a lullaby for your hubby to fall asleep to.

She may not know that she wakes herself to take a breath, because you do not gasp for air. What happens is that your body “wakes” itself when the brain sends signals for the body to shake just enough to cause the air passages to open so you can start breathing again.
I know, because I have used a CPAP (continuous positive air pressure) device for the past 5+ years for sleep apnea. When I went in for my sleep study test, my body was waking itself up every 37 seconds, but I had no idea it was happening other than the fact that I was very sleep around 2:30 p.m. every single day.
One needs to have someone watch them during the time they start snoring to see if they in fact quit breathing. My wife noticed it. Unfortunately, I did not listen to her enough and did not get tested for another five years. :(

Yikes! Sleep apnea sounds like no fun at all. I have no idea what a CPAP involves, but it does not sound comfortable. Thanks for your thoughts. I sleep through the night unless hubby wakes me. Or once in a while I snore so loud I wake myself up!

You actually get very used to the CPAP device. You either wear a small mask that covers your nose and mouth or you can use something called nose pillows that just go into your nostrils. They both attach to a hose that comes back over your head and attach to a device that pushes positive pressure air into your airway to keep the area at the back of your throat open and prevents the breathing stoppage and the snoring.
I have gotten very used to it and I do not even know it is on when I sleep. I toss and turn and it does not bother me. I have been using the CPAP for over 5 years.
It is much better than being very sleepy all the time. :)

Thanks for your thoughts. I sleep through the night unless hubby wakes me. Or once in a while I snore so loud I wake myself up! I don’t really see that as loveable, but I’ll ask him.
I also sleep through the night, and my snoring only disturbs my dear husband. It happens mostly when I lay on my back, which, unfortunately is my most comfortable position. He used to go to the couch, but I told him to nudge me and I’ll roll over. I’ve only been conscious of him doing this a couple of times, but I think it works, because he’s still with me in the morning now.
I know that my problem is the 30 few extra pounds I need to lose. ::sigh::

Ah, yes, I guess my throat would be less “chubby” if I lost that 20 lbs on my list :) Good luck to you too!
