make a kimono

Answers:

Go to the local fabric store, and look at the costume pattern. Many brands have at least one kimono pattern you can buy. I would research what a traditional kimono looks like so you can get a more accurate pattern.

You’ve got to decide if you want your kimono lined or unlined, and what fabric you want to use. Your pattern should say how much of each to get, but it’s usually around 5 yards for a full akimono, depending on the length of sleeves.

Then, you’ve got to sew it. There’s directions with the pattern, but often-times these are rather confusing if you haven’t sewn much in the past. I’d recommend searching on google for “how to make a kimono” if you run into problems.

It’s a pretty easy garmet to make, so good luck!
