Don’t worry too much about calories. You just need a general idea of how fattening/healthy/ the foods are if your idea is to lose weight permanently without getting too worked up and stressed about it. I lost 12 kgs the year before last and kept it OFF for more than a year! Read how i did it at

Good luck to you…

Sorry first person, but I don’t entirely agree with you. counting calories has really helped me lose weight, and it’s a good thing to know. www.thedailyplate.com is an excellent site for tracking calories, and it also has some other cool features too. Check it out!

I’m also a huge fan of www.sparkpeople.com. It’s free and has tons of tools. My favorite are the different sparkteams. They’ve been instrumental in helping me in this journey of lose the 140+ pounds so far. By the way, I’m chris2365 there also if you want to visit my page.

I personally bought a stop watch/calorie counter at WalMart for about $50. Use it during exercise and tracked all of the calories I ate. I used sparkpeople.com to log the food and the calories and track of it all there. My username on sparkpeople is randimirrae if you want to look it up.

Good luck in your journey!
