A question about this goal: How can I delete cheers someone has sent me? February 5th, 2010 13:04

Answers:

Can’t do that at all. As far as I know.
Unless you delete the whole goal completely.

Yes, ButterflyBubbles is correct. There is no way to delete cheers unless you delete the goal and re-add it.
You could try sending a request to the 43 Things admin folks and ask them if they can do it. But my hunch is that they can’t.

Why would you want to delete cheers anyway?

I don’t think there’s anyway to delete cheers, and I’m not sure if deleting the goal or that post that was cheered would even work.

And as Douglas had asked, I also wonder why you would want to delete cheers anyway(?), or are you just asking out of curiousity, or are you missing cheers?

If someone deletes their account, you then lose all the cheers they gave you. It sucks, but that’s the way it works. It’s happened to me before. You also lose the cheers you gave the deleted person. At one point there were 3 different occasions where I gave my 5,000th cheer because of that.

If the issue is that another 43T’er is bothering you, (and thus you don’t want their cheers.) You have a few options; you can report them to the ‘bots and/or block them, and/or unsubscribe to them, if you’re subscribed to them, and/or ask them to unsubscribe to you, if they are subscribed to you, and/or ask them to stop cheering you. If you block them, they can’t cheer you (normally anyway, although I’ve had 1 person who managed to cheer me anyway, until the ‘bots fixed the problem.) Blocking someone will not erase whatever cheers they gave you before you blocked them though.
